This is our personal story. Our different journeys and cohabiting alongside discarded objects/ waste, starting from three different contexts: England’s “working class” North, the late “Transition period” of Bulgaria, and the racialised minority’s segregation in Plovdiv. Our paths crossed, finally, in Duvar Kolektiv, the experiment in collaborative art which cuts across the boundaries of difference. The text is by each of us, the illustrations by Hannah using patterns and textures found discarded by the containers.
